Probably not a place you might have high on your tea tourism list, but it should be.
Tea is a massive part of life in cold Russia.
They brew it sometimes for hours, even overnight, to get maximum flavour before adding sweeteners such a honey.
It’s also widely served as dessert with jam or fine chocolate. Best to skip straight to pudding then.
2. Sri Lanka
There’s not much on the planet more beautiful than the rolling green hills of Sri Lanka’s tea districts.
Highlights include a train ride from capital city colombo, up to the hilly and breathtaking town of Ella, through tea fields and jungles.
