A store belonging to the Primark clothing chain just outside Paris is reportedly being held up by two or three gunmen with hostages inside.
Local police said there are around 10 hostages inside the store near the French capital, Agence France-Presse reports.
According to the BBC, the gunmen were attempting to rob the store, located in the Qwartz shopping centre in the Parisian suburb of Villeneuve-la-Garenne. Special forces are reportedly at the scene, and have evacuated 18 people from inside the shopping centre. All traffic in the area has been halted.
“At around 06:30, two or three armed criminals went into the Primark store for what we think was initially an attempt at armed robbery,” said a police source, requesting anonymity.
