Hollywood acting titan Dustin Hoffman has made his feelings clear on the current state of film – and it’s not a good review sadly.

Hoffman, star of movies such as Rain Man, The Graduate and Papillon, has blasted Hollywood, claiming that the movie scene is currently in its worst ever state. Strong words indeed!

Speaking to The Independent, he said: ‘I think right now television is the best that it’s ever been and I think that it’s the worst that film has ever been – in the 50 years that I’ve been doing it, it’s the worst.’

Reflecting on his own lack of directorial work, he added: ‘I don’t think that has anything to do with whether you are good or not, it’s just about whether your films make money or not.’
