A tiger has been shot dead after it killed a man and wounded another in Georgia.
The predator was among 30 animals which escaped from a Tbilisi zoo is following a flood in the capital.
Georgia’s interior ministry confirmed the death on Wednesday.
The Tbilisi zoo had previously said all lions and tigers missing after the flooding had been found dead and only one jaguar remained unaccounted for.
The Interior Ministry confirmed police killed the tiger, which was hiding at an abandoned factory.
Zoo officials had said Tuesday that eight lions, all seven of the zoo’s tigers and at least two of its three jaguars were killed in the flooding in Georgia’s capital caused by heavy rains over the weekend.
People were told to stay indoors as officials tried to wrangle the animals.
